Drupal is an open source project. This means that it is maintained by a community of developers and users who are constantly improving the content management system, regardless of their specialty and level of experience. This article focuses on the concepts and processes that beginning Drupal contributors should know in order to get started with their first contribution on Drupal.org. 

Even though working remotely might not be as common as you’d think during the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people who are working remotely has increased over the last year and a half. 

And that group of recently remote workers includes me.

Drupal 7’s life is extended one more year. This is the message from Drupal core today. D7 will no longer be supported after November 1, 2023. In addition to this announcement, core stated that they intend to check in yearly on this deadline and make changes as they see fit.

Drupal 7 end of life was extended to November of 2023 this year. Originally scheduled to lose support in 2020, Drupal 7 will be 12 years old in 2023. Drupal core also left open the possibility of moving end of life date back even further in an announcement about end of life plans.
